Providing Optimal Care Around Birth that promotes, protects and supports the normal physiology of labour and birth, ensuring that every pregnant woman and newborn receives quality care throughout pregnancy, childbirth and immediate postnatal period, with an aim to reduce Maternal and Neonatal Mortality.

Layout of MCH Block

Ground Floor
  • LABOUR ROOM: LDR system
    • There are 8 beds in the observation room for 1st stage of labour and delivery room with 3 labour tables.
    • It has an attached fully equipped neonatal resuscitation corner.
    • PNC room with 10 beds for immediate postnatal care.
  • MCH Casualty: MCH Casualty of 10 beds runs 24×7. It is equipped with facilities for observation, post operative care, day care procedures and treatment. It also has a resuscitation room and Minor OT.
  • Emergency Gynae OT: Attached to labour room Emergency Gynae OT has 2 OT tables carrying out operative procedures round the clock and 4 beds in recovery room.
First Floor
  • MCH Ward 1: Post Operative and High-Risk ANC Ward with 24 beds.
Second Floor
  • MCH Ward 2: Post Operative Ward with 24 beds for post operative patients.
Third Floor
  • MCH Ward 3 & 4: PNC Ward for post-natal patients with 26 and 32 beds. There are 8 beds reserved for Kangaroo Mother Care.

Outdoor Services

  • ANTENATAL OPD: Complete ANC check-up of all pregnant women on all days Monday to Saturday.
  • GYNAE OPD: Gynaecological examination and treatment of all patients on all days Monday to Saturday.
  • FAMILY PLANNING OPD: Daily Family Planning Services with Cafeteria Approach. Distribution of OCPs, Chhaya, Condom, Interval IUCD (Cu T), Injection Antara both I/M and S/C, Counselling for NSV, PPIUCD, PAIUCD and Sub Dermal Implant Insertion.
  • SPECIAL CLINIC
    • Thalassemia screening of all Primigravidae in 1st trimester.
    • Anaemia eradication programme.
    • Infertility Clinic.
    • Postpartum care and counselling from 2 PM to 4 PM.
    • Cancer Screening PAP Smear done on Thursday from 2 PM to 4 PM.
    • PMSMA – Special clinic for High Risk Pregnancy on 9th of every month.
  • ICTC
    • Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre: Counselling and testing of all antenatal clients and high-risk patients are done daily. HIV positive antenatal clients are followed up and appropriate ART therapy is provided.

Indoor Services

  • MCH Ward – All postnatal, postoperative, high-risk antenatal and patients with various gynaecological problems are admitted and treated accordingly.

Operative Procedures

  • Major surgeries like Abdominal Hysterectomy, Vaginal Hysterectomy, Laparotomy and Hysteroscopy are done every Saturday.
  • Minor surgeries including MTP, Mini Lap and Lap Sterilization are done on Wednesday and Saturday.
