Anaesthesia Department
The Department of Anaesthesiology is providing efficient and exemplary healthcare services to patients and the public of Delhi and NCR.
The department has dedicated and competent medical, nursing, and technical staff to manage routine and emergency OT and ICU services through three operation theatres with six OT tables and advanced ICU facilities.
The department is equipped with advanced medications, devices, and equipment in ICU and operation theatres for diagnostic, monitoring, and therapeutic utilization for invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- PAC Clinic - The department runs a pre-anesthetic check-up clinic for assessment of outdoor and indoor surgical patients.
- Main Operation Theatres - Surgeries and procedures are performed for all departments including laparoscopic, endoscopy, orthopedic, ENT, ophthalmology, and pediatric surgeries.
- Gynecology and Obstetric OT - A separate OT is functioning for gynecological and obstetric surgeries including complicated cases.
- OPD Main Block OT - Separate OT facility is available for laparoscopic, general surgery, and orthopedic procedures.
- Emergency Surgical Services - Emergency orthopedic, obstetric, and surgical procedures are conducted round the clock.
- CSSD and Sterilization Services - Sterilization of instruments, equipment, and linen is managed for infection control.
- Oxygen Manifold and Liquid Oxygen Plant - Provides uninterrupted oxygen supply throughout the hospital.
- Pain Clinic - Pain clinic services are available on Monday and Thursday.
- ICU Services - The department runs a modern intensive care unit with 24×7 services for critically ill patients from Delhi and NCR.
- ICU manages patients from medicine, surgery, obstetrics & gynaecology, pediatrics, trauma, poisoning, stroke, sepsis, respiratory diseases, metabolic disorders, and post-operative critical care cases.
- ICU facilities include Point of Care USG, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, coagulation monitoring, ABG analysis, and cardiac/renal biomarker monitoring.

- The department is running DNB broad speciality courses since 2016. At present, 2 primary, 1 secondary DNB, and 2 Diploma Anaesthesia seats are filled.
- The department has an excellent academic record with regular participation in academic classes, seminars, case presentations, mortality and morbidity discussions, CMEs, and conferences.
