ICU services - The Department boasts of running a state of the art intensive care unit as an immense support to the critically ill patients of Delhi and NCR including the referred patients from other government and various hospitals. The ICU of Swami Dayanand Hospital is doing an exemplary work. The residents, nursing staff and technical staff are performing duty 24×7.

The ICU is efficiently managing the critical patients from the departments of medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and others to treat the patients of the major laparoscopy/onco-surgery, trauma, poisoning, CAP, COPD, acute pancreatitis, eclampsia, ischemic stroke, haemorrhagic stroke, post operative cases of perforation peritonitis, meningitis, poisoning patients, HELLP, post perforation peritonitis, paediatrics patients suffering from Guillian-Barre Syndrome, acute severe asthma, bronchopneumonia, myocarditis, sepsis and severe sepsis, DKA, Hypertensive emergencies, acute coronary syndrome, restrictive lung disease, ARDS and patients of electrolyte imbalance and metabolic disorders. The ICU team is also providing effective support in resuscitating emergency patients in the casualty and different wards of the hospital.

The ICU has Point of care USG, advanced hemodynamic, coagulation disorder monitoring and ABC, cardiac/renal/others vital biomarkers monitoring.
