The Department boasts of running a state of the art Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as an immense support to critically ill patients of Delhi and NCR including referred patients from other government and private hospitals.

The ICU of Swami Dayanand Hospital is doing exemplary work. Residents, nursing staff and technical staff are performing duties round the clock (24×7).

The ICU efficiently manages critical patients from Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics and other departments including trauma, poisoning, COPD, acute pancreatitis, eclampsia, ischemic stroke, haemorrhagic stroke, meningitis, sepsis, DKA, hypertensive emergencies, ARDS, acute coronary syndrome and metabolic disorders.

The ICU team also provides emergency resuscitation support in casualty and different wards of the hospital.

The ICU has Point of Care USG, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, coagulation monitoring and cardiac / renal biomarker monitoring facilities.
